Hands of Love Shoes Campaign 2021
For many, a pair of shoes is a simple thing. Something that is quickly taken for granted. But for many children in our community, having a good pair of school shoes is a luxury. Since schools reopened in January, we have seen many children coming to school with shoes that are falling apart. Unfortunately, the cost of replacing them is out of reach for their families, especially when the covid 19 has devastated livelihoods.
We are happy that this week, following a donation by Tom and Kathy Little, we could provide shoes to grade 2 and Pre-primary 1 students. Among the pre-primary one students were two children who had never had new shoes - ever. These shoes are simple everyday items but will make a world of difference for our children. They mean increased mobility, protection from infection and injuries, better health, and put them in a position to succeed.
We still need shoes for 85 students. For Ksh2,150 (US$21), you can help us shoe a child and instill an invaluable sense of their importance and abilities.
